Operations Manager - Jewson : Job Details

Jewson Wroxham, a leading building materials distributor, is on the hunt for an Operations Manager who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm

Location: Stalham Rd, Hoveton, Norwich NR12 8DU

Key Responsibilities

• Be a direct support to the management team in branch with the day to day running of the branch

• Perform a range of operational administrative duties including but not limited to: purchase orders, back-office functions, stock controls, health & safety compliance, transport compliance, supplier management, banking

• Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values

• Managing stock levels in line with the client's needs, monitoring and ordering stock as required from suppliers

• Building strong, effective relationships with our clients and suppliers

• Dealing with lapsed accounts and generating sales with new and existing customers

• Answer customer queries both face to face at the trade counter and via the phone

• Respond promptly to any account queries, intercompany queries, and supplier invoice queries

• Support in other areas of the branch as and when needed

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience working in a builder's merchant or within the construction industry would be ideal

• Experience in customer service and account management

• The ability to create and maintain successful client relationships

• The capability to make strong decisions, and demonstrate that you are a real problem solver

• IT Literate and admin experienced
