Operations Manager - Custody - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

A leading international bank is seeking an experienced Custody Operations Manager to oversee daily operations within its Custody Business. This newly created role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, drive operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage settlement of cash and securities transactions
• Lead, mentor, and develop a custody operations team
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
• Maintain strong client relationships and service delivery
• Monitor performance metrics and report to senior management
• Lead projects including system upgrades and new product implementations
• Maintain a robust control and audit environment

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in custody operations (settlements, corporate actions, tax)
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Knowledge of CASS rules and SWIFT
• Mandarin language skills desirable
• CISI certifications (IOC) encouraged
• Degree educated, ideally in finance, economics, or accounting
