Operations Fleet Manager Salary: £40k to £60k DOEHybrid role with UK travelling involve Monday to Friday Grafton Recruitment are actively recruiting for an experienced Operations Fleet/ Transport Manager with experience within the Automotive/Car Transport industry. The successful applicant will be a part of the innovative project, required to plan and co-ordinate transport operations. THE ROLE:Some of your responsibilities as an Operations Fleet/ Transport Manager are listed below:

  • Prepare transport plans and routes to optimise and maximise profitability.
  • To optimise the transport performance of all vehicles destined for our customers' fleets or the network.
  • Work on innovative projects to ensure sustainability and reliability of the fleet.
  • Ensure compliant, efficient and effective operation with a strong focus on health and safety.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the fleet managers, monitoring the routes.
  • Produce reports and manage KPIs to optimise load factors.
  • Developing ad hoc analyses to further investigate identified logistics performance improvement opportunities.
  • Report generation and KPI management for load optimisation.
  • Prepare the activity of the drivers according to the schedules, holidays and legal regulations.
  • Organising performance review meetings.

THE CANDIDATE:The ideal Operations Fleet/ Transport Manager:

  • Would demonstrate a proven track record (5 + years' experience) in Fleet & Transport Management and Operations Management within the Automotive/Car Transport industry.
  • Possess valid CPC Transport Manager Qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills of performance data and financially aware in managing budgets and spend.
  • A leader who listens and thrives in a high-performance environment through engagement, where the focus is on the team and wider business.
  • Ability to make timely and well-judged decisions under pressure and with conflicting requests.
  • Dedication to customer focus to meet the expectations and requirements of all internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate good verbal / written communication skills in order to liaise effectively.
  • Flexible working will be required at times to support operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Leadership skills to motivate, guide, and influence team.
  • Possess driving license.
  • Hold Certificate of Professional competence in National Road Haulage Operations.
