Operations Clerk - Reed : Job Details

Location: FelthamHours: Full-Time, Permanent (including weekend/out-of-hours work)Package: £30,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience

I am recruiting for a Operations Agent on behalf of my client, a leading logistics and freight services provider. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in freight operations across multiple transport modes. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

This is a varied and dynamic position that involves both administrative and physical tasks, with opportunities to work across air, ocean, and road freight.

• Coordinate freight operations across air, ocean, and road (import/export).
• Handle customs processes, including carnets and temporary/permanent imports/exports.
• Cut export AWBs and manage documentation such as bills of lading.
• Provide accurate quotes and high levels of customer service.
• Track shipments, chase post-flight updates and PODs.
• Input cost accruals and invoice clients accurately.
• Support weekend and out-of-hours operations (paid accordingly).

• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of ASM Customs system and CDS preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Full, clean driving licence required.
• Ability to perform some physical work.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach.
