Operational Risk Analyst, Financial Services - Fraser Carver Executive Search Ltd : Job Details

Fraser Carver Recruitment are working with a rapidly expanding Financial Services company who are looking for an Operational Risk Analyst to join their Risk & Compliance function in a 2nd line capacity.

The Risk Analyst will be responsible in supporting the effective delivery of the risk management and resilience framework, fostering a culture of excellence and providing second line assurance across the business. The role forms an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain insight into all areas of a growing business, exposure to senior management and helping to drive insight and challenge across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

This role plays a central part in delivering the Group’s Risk Management Framework, supporting second-line assurance activities through control testing, incident analysis and resolution planning. You’ll work closely with the Head of Risk, Chief Risk Officer and first-line teams to ensure risk incidents are captured, mitigated and reported effectively. Collaboration is key as you’ll partner with colleagues across Procurement, Supplier Risk, and Resilience to support wider risk initiatives and maintain a strong culture of accountability.

You’ll also lead on risk reporting and system governance by owning risk data, producing insightful management information and supporting the development of committee packs and reporting outputs. As System Administrator, you’ll ensure its smooth operation and support governance of the Supplier Portal. Your ability to analyse complex problems, identify key risk factors and present clear recommendations will be essential in driving informed decision-making across the business.

Experience Required:

• Risk Management and Control Testing experience within a commercial business
• Experience of producing, owning and developing reporting
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• You are proactive in seeking solutions, curious by nature to identify and resolve problems
• Experience of regulatory expectations from a financial institution
• PowerBI experience is desirable
