Online Data and Insights Manager - £50,000-£55,000 - Amersham

Our client is a family run business, with an amazing product and customer centric approach.  They have 180 stores in the UK and a rapidly growing online, International and concessions business, with another major partnership announced recently. They really care about people, customers and the communities in which they trade and are now looking for an Online Data and Insights Manager to be based out of their amazing Amersham head office. The role offers hybrid working with up to six days per calendar month home-working and the rest of the time-based working with our collaborative teams. 

As the Online Data and Insights Manager you will be part of an online team to establish and drive the data and insight agenda across the business.  You will ensure their data is unified, reliable, easily accessible and digestible whilst driving insight to improve customer experience and business performance across their websites and store estate.  You will be excited at the thought of bringing their amazing brands to life and delighting customers with a best-in-class journey. 

Online Data and Insights Manager – Responsibilities

- Ensure all data used to make decisions is freely available and reliable.

- Implement and maintain the digital analytics capabilities.

- Develop the analytics skills of the department through organising training.

- Work closely with 3rd parties to ensure data accuracy and delivery of the data and insight roadmap.

- Support in building robust forecasting, Digital Channel Budget builds and business case formulation

- Help set the strategy for future ecommerce growth by being the voice for data utilisation.

- Own the flow of digital data to allow for intelligent digital marketing deployment, audience segmentation and loyalty scheme.

- Represent the web team around the business, working closely with IT, buying, customer service and fulfilment.

- Lead a ruthless drive to consolidate, improve and automate the report suite.

- Provide insightful suggestions to improve the customer experience based on the data.

- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practice with regular time dedicated to external events and personal development.

Online Data and Insights Manager – Required Skills

- Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within an omnichannel retail business.

- Experience of managing agencies, third parties and technology vendors.

- Exceptional presentation skills, with an ability to communicate technical material in a non-technical manner.

- Experience in scoping and planning budgets to measure digital traffic and multiple sales channels.

- Experience of project management to deliver business change.

- Ability to manage and transform datasets, experience with GA4, Big Query or Hybris helpful.

- Experience of visualising data with software including PowerBI & Tableau.

- Desirable experience using Content Square analytics, Algolia search.

- Advanced user of Excel and used to managing big data.

- Strategic thinking with a people focused approach to developing teams.

- Solution-orientated with creative and innovative thinking.

- Sets expectations and delivers on time with very close attention to detail.
