Day Webster Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a dedicated Oncology Specialist Doctor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality cancer care and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families.Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist medical care and support to patients diagnosed with cancer, including conducting consultations, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient
  • Monitor patient's progress throughout their treatment journey, managing treatment-related side effects, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, tumour boards, and case conferences to review patient cases, discuss treatment options, and coordinate care delivery
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care services available to them
  • Contribute to clinical audits, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and safety of cancer care services
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practice guidelines
Requirements:
  • Medical degree from a recognized institution and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Completion of specialist training in oncology and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Oncology or eligibility for inclusion within six months
  • Proven experience working in oncology care, with a strong clinical background and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of cancer patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning, staying abreast of advances in oncology research, treatment modalities, and supportive care services
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinical environment
