Ocean Import Operator - Cannock - Hawk 3 Talent Solutions : Job Details

As an Ocean Import Operator you will be predominantly Ocean biased, with experience in both exports and imports, to receive bookings from customs and agents alike, to complete all import / export requirements including customs clearance, along with all other processes involved.

Location: Cannock

Hours of work: 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience 

Key Responsibilities:

• Predominantly ocean import / export role - air knowledge also advantageous.
• Receiving bookings from customers.
• Raising files within the software system.
• Preparation of collection notes and booking confirmations
• Liaising with shipping lines and carriers.
• Checking vessel departure dates.
• Maintaining customer spreadsheets where required.
• Ensuring correct documentation is presented and obtained.
• Raising invoices to customers and agents.
• File queries.

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

• Knowledge of the freight forwarding industry -multi-modal advantageous
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Good team player
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Good organisational skills
• Flexible and adaptable
