We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team in York. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn, explore and thrive.

• Act as a Key Person, building strong, positive relationships with children and families.

• Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS.

• Observe, assess and record children’s progress; contribute to learning journals and next steps.

• Maintain excellent safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene standards at all times.

• Work effectively within staff ratios, supporting routines including meals, nappies/toileting and sleep.

• Set up engaging indoor/outdoor environments and contribute creative ideas to the curriculum.

• Collaborate with colleagues and attend staff meetings, training and supervisions.

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g. Early Years Educator or equivalent) – essential.

• Sound knowledge of the EYFS, child development and inclusive practice.

• Passionate, reliable and proactive, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Confident in observation, assessment and planning.

• Enhanced DBS check on the update service and suitable references required.

Typical hours are between 7:30am–6:00pm on a rota basis, Monday–Friday.
