Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 years.
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress and development.
- Support daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, toileting, and sleep times.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at all times.
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies and procedures.
- Contribute positively to the nursery team and take part in staff meetings and training as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
- A sound understanding of the EYFS, child development, and safeguarding.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A warm, caring, and proactive approach.
- Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain one).
- Paediatric First Aid (desirable, but not essential).
