Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage staffing, induction, training, and development to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Oversee systems for accurate reporting, monitoring, and assessment of nursery activities.
  • Manage occupancy levels and financial budgets to meet targets and ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of the Connect Childcare database system.
  • Guarantee extra-curricular activities meet the requirements of the EYFS framework.
  • Ensure all rooms comply with staff ratios and staffing deployment regulations.
  • Take full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Lead the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and ensure it is effectively implemented across all age groups.
  • Liaise with external professionals when necessary to support the development and needs of children.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo to support children with additional needs.
  • Ensure the nursery follows a robust and safe recruitment process.
  • Manage weekly staff rotas and attendance registers for both staff and children.
  • Uphold and enforce the nursery's policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and promote the physical health and well-being of all children in the nursery.
