Early years practitioner (Level 3)

  • Daily Rate: £90 - £100
  • Location: Doncaster
  • Job Type: Part time

I am delighted to currently be working with a gorgeous nursery setting just outside of central Doncaster to help them find experienced and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to support their newest intake. The Nursery is a very small setting, only being able to take 32 children currently so the team are tight knit and really work together to make the most of each day. The Nursery is a registered charity, and the senior management runs on volunteers showcasing just how dedicated they are to providing a safe and comforting environment to the children they look after. I am working with the nursery manager who looking for an early year's practitioner who is not afraid to get stuck in and is happy to work flexibly across the different age groups within the nursery, from the baby room up to the school transitioners. I believe it's a lovely way to invite some excitement into your day as each shift will present with a new challenge and gives the right candidate a chance to build connections and experience across the setting. The position is to initially begin on a part time basis with the view to becoming full-time as the nursery grows.

The role:

  • Delivering Stimulating Play Experiences: You’ll create engaging and age-appropriate play experiences for the children. These activities should support their learning and development.
  • Being an Effective Key Person: Building strong relationships with each child and their parents or carers is crucial. You’ll be their go-to person for updates, concerns, and progress.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety Standards: You’ll help maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines. Regular checks and accurate record-keeping are essential.

What I need from you:

  • A relevant, level 3, Early years qualification in line with the new government guidelines (please note I cannot accept qualifications in supporting teaching and learning).
  • Proven experience within a private nursery setting.
  • An ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the setting.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to pay for a new one)
