Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with autism, social, emotional, and mental health needs? We’re looking for compassionate and proactive Night Support Workers to join a specialist residential setting supporting individuals aged 16–25.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that helps young people build independence and prepare for adult life, further education, or employment—all in a beautiful rural location.

Hourly Rate: £12.37 – £13.49 £25 per night shift worked (approx. £4,000 extra annually)

Contract: Full-time – 1x Permanent & 1x 12-Month Fixed Term

Hours: 7:45pm – 8:15am, 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (average 43.75 hours per week)

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support students with their evening routines and activities
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear after a busy day
  • Liaise with parents/carers and ensure health and medical needs are met overnight
  • Encourage independence in areas like budgeting, cooking, and housekeeping
  • Use verbal and visual prompts tailored to individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure continuity of care

No prior experience is needed—we’ll provide full training!

  • A positive, creative, and proactive attitude
  • Willingness to participate and motivate young people
  • Ability to support emotional and behavioural needs
  • Understanding of what “good care” looks like
  • Commitment to empowering young people to be independent
  • Must be aged 21+ due to the age of the students
  • Access to transport and a valid driver’s licence (essential due to rural location)
