Are you a seasoned NHS Operational Leader with a passion for service excellence and transformation delivery? We're seeking a driven and highly capable General Manager - EPR Readiness to join our client and help lead a major critical change programme.

This role is central to ensuring that operational services across the Trust are fully prepared for the transition to a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system — while continuing to deliver high-quality care, meet national targets, and protect income and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior operational lead for EPR readiness, providing expert input into planning, risk management, and performance assurance.
  • Deputise for Director at internal and external boards, programme meetings, and operational readiness sessions.
  • Lead Trust-wide efforts to ensure safe and stable service delivery through go-live, with a clear focus on protecting:
    • Activity and income
    • NHS England performance targets (RTT, CWT, DWT)
    • Clinical and patient outcomes
  • Support divisional leadership teams in developing and implementing readiness plans that meet ICB contractual expectations.
  • Escalate and resolve risks early, providing clear, data-driven assurance to the executive team.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and foster collaboration between operational, digital, finance, and clinical stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for an experienced NHS General Manager or Service Manager with a strong operational track record in acute or integrated healthcare settings.

You will bring:

  • Substantial senior operational management experience in the NHS.
  • Deep understanding of NHSE operational performance metrics (RTT, CWT, DWT) and ICB contract performance frameworks.
  • A proven ability to lead through complexity and deliver service continuity through major change programmes.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working on digital or EPR transformation programmes is desirable, but not essential — operational leadership is the priority.
