Up to 55K per annum (depending on skills and abilities)

Permanent opportunity in Wrexham

The role:

Business Development Manager required for a global market leader who operate in the retail sector. This role will suit a hungry and passionate sales professional.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Develop & implement a multi-channel growth strategy focused on driving incremental revenue and increased brand presence.
  • Prospect, onboard & manage global customer accounts.
  • Develop with the Sales Team and Sales Director the yearly assigned channels' sales forecast and ensuring the active management of the rolling forecast.
  • Delivering progress updates on new business including channel performance, customer strategies and market trends, while providing industry updates to the Sales Director and Executive Management Team on a weekly/monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Ensure new commercial agreements are reviewed and negotiated.
  • Responsible for the development and active management of all customer relationship via the various strategic planning documents (CRM, Brand Plans, Rolling Forecast, Sales Strategic Plan, Quarterly Reporting).
  • Work with the wider Global Sales Team to identify and regularly provide the Product Development team with potential new growth areas or concepts and trends within the industry. Make considered recommendations where applicable through the idea submission process.
  • Work closely with other departments including Marketing Communications and Product Development to develop strong customer campaigns.

The CandidateThe successfully appointed Business Development Manager will have the following skills and abilities:

  • Prior experience of managing Key & National Accounts
  • Hungry and passionate about sales
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Must be proficient in reporting and data analysis.
  • Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have strong sales reporting, financial and budgeting skills.
  • Must be organised and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated to set and achieve goals.
  • Must hold a Full UK driving license.
