A fantastic opportunity to support neurodivergent adults (autism, ADHD, Tourette’s, etc.) into work or career progression. You'll be based in the Barnsley office with some local outreach, meeting around five clients a day, mainly in person.Support varies – from CV writing and job searching to confidence-building and accompanying clients into town to hand out CVs. Some may already be employed and looking to progress. No formal diagnosis needed – just a flexible, person-led approach. You’ll support clients with their employment goals, build referral relationships (e.g. JCP, social prescribers), and connect with local employers. The team works collaboratively toward shared outcomes – it’s all about impact, not pressure. What’s on Offer
- A warm, supportive team and strong leadership
- CPD including IEP membership, suicide awareness and LGBTQ+ training
- Strategy days every six months so you are a part of the charities journey and how they move forward
Background in support, education, or employability – e.g. Job Coach, Careers Adviser, Social Prescriber, Housing Officer or Probation Officer. But what matters most is your ability to build rapport, encourage, and adapt with a career history that can demonstrate this. People with a support worker background are good as long as its support as in helping people to achieve their own goals as opposed to care related. How to ApplyApply via this advert – we respond to everyone.
