Network Engineer - Reed : Job Details

Network EngineerBradford (On-Site)Rate: £275 per day (Inside IR35)6 MonthsA Network Engineer is required for our public sector client who are based in Bradford.  The successful candidate will bring solid networking experience and a collaborative approach to supporting critical infrastructure.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on support for LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sitesConfigure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routersAssist with firewall rule changes and basic policy management (Palo Alto or similar)Support VPN and remote access solutionsMonitor network performance and respond to alerts using tools like SolarWinds or PRTGMaintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changesParticipate in change and incident management processes Skills & ExperienceExperience in network support or engineering rolesStrong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network diagnosticsExperience with Cisco networking equipment (CCNA-level knowledge)Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and/or Cisco ISE to implement wired and wireless network access control and micro segmentation.Familiarity with NAC solutions and enterprise network security practicesExcellent troubleshooting and communication skills
