NavCom Field Service Engineer - Maritime - Connexa : Job Details

Our client is a leading global provider of Satellite Communications and IT Support services to the Government, Maritime, and Defence sectors. With over 55 years of expertise and a strong international presence, they deliver cutting-edge communication solutions for a wide range of vessels and offshore platforms. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a NavCom Field Service Engineer to join their highly skilled engineering team.

Responsibilities:* Install, maintain, and repair a range of navigational and communication equipment, including GMDSS, VSAT Satellite Broadband, VDR-APTs, and integrated bridge systems.* Conduct radio surveys and perform GMDSS inspections on vessels.* Carry out retrofit projects, including full bridge installations and large system integrations.* Provide both solo and team-based onsite engineering support on a variety of vessels, from super tankers to mega yachts.* Complete technical documentation, reports, and ensure high standards of service delivery.* Stay up to date with manufacturer training and technical developments.

What They Are Looking For:* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Marine Service Engineer.* In-depth knowledge of electronic and electrical engineering principles.* Qualified to HNC/ONC/NVQ Level or equivalent in Engineering or IT disciplines.* GMDSS Radio Operator / Maintainer License preferred.* Current valid driving licence and passport.* Ability to pass marine/offshore worker medical examination.* Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills.* Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
