A new opportunity has arisen to work for a National Brokerage in the company’s West Malling office who are seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler.
This role with be to look after their Transportation and Commercial clients.
Working directly with our clients and suppliers, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, professional advice service to your clients concerning any claims issues from beginning through conclusion. Servicing their clients with utmost care and making a difference is their focus and goal.
Responsibilities:
- Manage own caseload of Motor claims on a non-delegated authority basis.
- Service the client promptly and efficiently and in accordance with Group SLA’S.
- Advise and update your clients about relevant events and discussions during their claim. Ensure complete customer satisfaction during what can be a stressful time.
- Regularly assess the status of claims with clients, insurers, and/or their advisors/solicitors, including updating and informing them of any additional information acquired during the claims process.
- Offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the duration of the claim.
- Encourage, show compassion, and effectively balance your client’s expectations.
- Ensure your market, insurance, legislation, and other technical knowledge is developed and maintained.
- Run claims efficiently and keep the system updated with all relevant information.
- Ensure that claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance with SLAs.
- Develop working relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders to promote customer satisfaction
- Ensure the claims statistics, when required by the client, Placing Department or insurers on risk, are accurate and produced in accordance with SLAs.
- Attend client meetings with the Account Executive to discuss the clients claims
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent is desirable
- Cert CII/ACII would be advantageous
- Previous experience within the Motor Claims industry is essential.
- Strong client service drive along with forward planning and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communications skills, task focused, and keen to develop your career.
- Able to spot potential risks and seek advice when required; by applying due diligence and adhering to company processes.
- Strong social skills, able to show initiative when assisting team members.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
