Mortgage Underwriter - Specialist LendingLondon/Hybrid (2-3 days office based)Salary: to £50K per annum

Our client, a specialist mortgage lender is seeking an experienced underwriter. Their ultimate goals being, to become the main household name for lifetime and equity release lending and offering a first-class customer experience. This permanent role is ideal for a manual, mandated underwriter and with a new product on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to join the business.

Duties of the Underwriter include:

• Reviewing Mortgage applications against the Lending Policy to ensure robust underwriting decisions are made.
• Managing a portfolio of cases to completion.
• Working closely with Case Managers to gather all information from third parties.
• Speaking extensively to Brokers to allow cases to progress efficiently.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrable experience in underwriting through to completion of Equity Release, RIO or Lifetime mortgage products.
• A manual mandated underwriter with a background in specialist lending.
