Mortgage Administrator / Paraplanner - Financial ServicesLocation: Leicestershire (Office-Based) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week Are you an experienced Mortgage Administrator or Paraplanner looking for a long-term, desk-based role in a friendly, well-established financial services firm? We're looking for a highly organised and professional individual with recent experience in a similar role to support a Mortgage & Protection Adviser. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, close-knit Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) firm, where your skills will make a real difference to client outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide full administration and paraplanning support for a whole-of-market mortgage and protection adviser
  • Prepare documentation, submit applications, and ensure all cases progress efficiently from inception to completion
  • Call qualified leads, arrange call-backs, and book client meetings
  • Liaise with advisers, lenders, and solicitors to keep clients fully updated throughout the process
  • Manage case files in line with GDPR and compliance standards
  • Conduct mortgage and protection research using Xplan Mortgage, preparing draft recommendations for the adviser
  • Produce compliant and detailed suitability reports
  • Maintain accurate records and manage your own workflow with minimal supervision
What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum 2 years' recent experience in mortgage administration or paraplanning (whole-of-market preferred)
  • Ideally CeMAP or CF6 qualified (minimum Level 3 mortgage qualification)
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage and protection process
  • Excellent telephone manner and client communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to quickly learn in-house systems (e.g. Curo)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage high volumes of tasks
