About the Mortgage and Protection Broker role

We are recruiting a Mortgage and Protection Broker to spearhead advisory services in the company’s newly launched Inverurie branch. You’ll be embedded within the estate agency team, working directly from the high-street office while servicing a consistent flow of pre-qualified, in-house leads. With a 50% lead-to-conversion rate, this is a role built for success. Your focus will be to provide expert whole-of-market mortgage and protection advice, helping clients secure tailored, suitable financial solutions as they navigate the home-buying process.

Mortgage and Protection Broker Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional mortgage and protection advice that aligns with each client’s goals and circumstances
• Source and recommend products across the full market spectrum
• Work with leads generated by the estate agency branch and introducer network
• Manage the full advisory lifecycle — from fact-finding and recommendations to application and completion
• Ensure full compliance with current mortgage and protection regulations
• Keep communication clear and consistent between clients, lenders, and internal teams

Mortgage and Protection Broker Package:

• Basic Salary: £32,000 - £44,000 (dependent on current annual banking)
• Commission: 20% - 24%, with no cap on earnings

Mortgage and Protection Broker requirements:

• Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Mortgage and Protection Broker
• CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of the whole-of-market mortgage and protection products
• Strong interpersonal skills — confident communicator in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Organised, self-sufficient, and motivated by results
