Midday Meal and After School Supervisor

• Job Type: Part-time
• Location: Camden
• Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 12:00 – 18:00, Friday 12:00 - 17:15pm

We are seeking an enthusiastic Midday Meal After School Supervisor to join our team in Camden. The role involves supervising and engaging with pupils during the day and after school clubs and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all activities. The successful candidate will also oversee the lunchroom, maintaining order and promoting good behaviour and social skills among students.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Supervise pupils during after school clubs, ensuring their safety and inclusion in activities.
• Engage with pupils and contribute to the selection and suggestion of afternoon activities.
• Ensure pupils are safely collected by their guardians or transferred to their respective after school clubs.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the rooms used for after school activities.
• Assist as a ‘Classroom Assistant’ for certain club activities, following tasks set by the Club Leader.
• Propose, organise, and lead activities for pupils, preparing all necessary materials.
• Organise the lunchroom queuing system, ensuring a calm atmosphere and good behaviour.
• Be responsible for designated areas and students each day, particularly during lunch/break periods.
• Uphold a high standard of behaviour, health, safety, and welfare for students.
• Address any incidents of bullying or unruly behaviour, reporting to the class teacher and Head of School as needed.
• Encourage students to eat healthily, try new foods, and practice good table manners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in supervising children in an educational or after school setting.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to engage positively with children and encourage inclusive participation.
• Knowledge of first aid policies and emergency evacuation procedures is desirable.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for students.
