Location : Bridgwater

Pay : £31,650 - £49,084

I am looking for a dynamic MFL Teacher, specialising in French, Spanish or Modern Languages, to join a welcoming secondary school in the Bridgwater area from September. The school promotes a culture of inclusivity, ambition and global awareness. Modern Foreign Languages play a key role in the wider curriculum which students seem to enjoy.

The department benefits from strong student interest particularly at KS3, with language being encouraged through interactive lessons, focusing on cultural enrichment. At KS4, students are taught to develop their fluency in preparation for GCSEs. Lessons should be well structured and tailored to a range of abilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified MFL teacher looking for a long term or permanent teaching position.

Responsibilities :

• Plan and deliver language lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Encourage participation in classes.

• Foster an exciting and secure environment of learning.

• Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly

• Work collaboratively with the Psychology department and wider staff.

Requirements :

• Essential - QTS ; not essential - degree in French, Spanish or Modern Languages

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Experience working in secondary schools

• Strong subject knowledge and lesson delivery skills.

• Effective classroom and behaviour management

• Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
