GSL Education have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant at a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school setting in Bournemouth.The SEMH school setting is specifically designed to address the unique needs of students with complex challenges related to Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour. The school focuses on creating a supportive environment where all students have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). The school's students present a mix of various needs, including ADHD, Autism, ensuring a comprehensive and tailored approach.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialised support to students with complex needs related to Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour, ensuring their individual EHCPs are effectively implemented.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging curriculum that addresses the specific challenges associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour across various subjects, including outdoor education.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment to promote social, emotional, and mental well-being, with a focus on addressing anxiety and behaviour challenges.
