Job Description :

Priory Hospital Wokingis looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join the team. This is a full-time 37.5 hoursrole.Priory Hospital Woking provides leading inpatient and outpatient care for mental health and addiction. We treat a range of conditions, including addiction, depression and offer private autism assessments and support for adults. Specialist eating disorder treatment is also available nearby at Life Works.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.You will also:

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

What you'll bring to the role

Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.The ideal candidate is a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration, 6-12 months’ post-registration experience, and completed preceptorship. You’ll have knowledge of NMC guidelines, a positive, flexible approach, and strong communication skills. At least 6 months of experience in mental health or learning disabilities care, along with evidence of ongoing professional development, are essential.
