Membership Services Officer (Customer Services) Full Time Office based in Hove £26,000 per annum plus benefits and 25 days holiday

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Membership Services Officer to join a leading charity in the Hove area on a permanent basis.

You’ll be at the heart of the member services team, providing exceptional support to both existing and potential members. This role encompasses all channels of communication, from face-to-face interactions to digital and telephone services. You will play a vital role in building meaningful relationships with members, ensuring queries are addressed promptly and with sensitivity.

A key aspect of this role will be working closely with vulnerable members, offering understanding, empathy, and tailored solutions to meet their needs. Your ability to forge trust and provide guidance will empower members to feel supported and valued in their financial journey.

Your duties will include:

• Exceptional customer service skills to deliver outstanding experiences across multiple channels.
• Strong communication abilities to engage empathetically with members, including those in vulnerable circumstances.
• A proactive approach to developing tailored solutions and resolving member queries effectively.
• Ability to build lasting relationships and foster trust with members from diverse backgrounds.
• Teamwork and collaboration, bringing enthusiasm to a supportive and dynamic team environment.
• Initiative and self-motivation to manage tasks with efficiency and precision.
• Sensitivity and empathy when interacting with members facing challenges, ensuring their needs are thoughtfully addressed.

Key requirements:

• 2 years customer service experience
• Confident of dealing with customers face to face and over the telephone
• Experience in the financial services or not-for-profit sector highly desirable
