Media Strategy Marketing Manager

Nomad Foods is on a journey of ambitious growth and transformation. To facilitate this, we have initiated a project to implement a Commercial Planning Process and Platform across 13 markets. The objective is to unlock commercial value through process and platform standardisation, trade spend & promotion optimisation and improved commercial decision making.
This role is known for orchestrating comprehensive media strategies, developing bespoke media planning/buying guidelines, and overseeing the correct adoption of the group’s media strategy across all local media plans. This role is also known for driving our media partnerships to the next level, for ensuring alignment between creative production and central media guidelines, for coordinating Nomad Foods' media test & learn agenda, and for helping bridge media capability gaps.
We need someone who displays a solid strategic thinking and has a deep knowledge of media planning and buying, particularly in digital media. We need someone who is results driven and has a strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst remaining focused on meeting relevant deadlines. We need someone who has outstanding presentation skills, and can effectively collaborate, influence, and engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Role Detail:
Lead and oversee the development of end-to-end media strategies, together with the Media Director, considering local market trends, competitive activity, and consumer behaviour.
Lead and represent media considerations when briefing agencies on new comms projects, addressing questions as appropriate and steering agencies as and when needed.
Represent Nomad Foods in relevant fora with internal/external stakeholders requiring strategic media input.
Stay up to date with emerging media trends and technologies to enhance Nomad Foods’ media ambition and agenda.
Manage Nomad’s relationship with key media owners such as Google, Meta or TikTok, with the support of the Media Director, to develop beneficial commercial returns and learning opportunities, as well as securing access to alpha/beta features for our business.
Coordinate via our media agency, Publicis, the development and implementation of Nomad Foods -specific media guidelines, including social media, programmatic, e-retail media, influence marketing, SEM and SEO.
Be the main voice within the Media team ensuring that all campaign toolkits are fully aligned with our media guidelines, swiftly liaising with Brand Campaign colleagues and external agencies.
Lead the media actionability of learning emanating from MMM studies, in coordination with the Media Manager for Performance and Effectiveness, ultimately striving at improving media impact on the short and long term.
Be responsible for the definition and regular review of our brands’ target audiences, and the best touch points to reach them, as per business objectives, in collaboration with the Insights team.
Develop and maintain solid relationships with the MUs and regional hubs to ensure global/local media alignment.
Support the Regional Heads of Media in developing solid annual media plans with a full funnel approach and in line with the central media strategy and individual channel roles.
Drive the group’s media Test & Learn agenda, in coordination with the media agency, as per Nomad Foods’ business priorities.
Be responsible for identifying media capabilities gaps and suitable solutions, in close collaboration with the Marketing Effectiveness team.
