Work for a charity in London as a Media Manager (remote with occasional travel into London, FTC 3 months, £42,697 - £47,720.71 pro rata).
Role Purpose
- The media manager is a linchpin role in the media team.
- You will have responsibility for planning and delivering major proactive media moments, including their Winter Appeal and their flagship corporate partnership activity, while contributing to the running, management and ongoing development of a busy press office and team.
- You will also be required to deputise for the Head of Media as necessary and support on reputational and crisis communications.
- Line manage two / three team members.

- Broad experience of building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders - including corporate partners - and be able to influence and negotiate at every level, including handling crisis communications with diligence and sensitivity.
- Keen grasp of what it takes to work with journalists and producers from across the media mix whether that's a feature writer or a political editor at a major national, and everything in between.
- Extensive knowledge of media tactics and techniques (traditional, digital, video, photography, podcasts etc).
- Strong organisational and people management and development skills are essential as you will line manage two / three members of staff and have oversight of numerous complex projects and work streams.
