About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Contract Mechanical Engineer to support immediate project needs. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong mechanical background, with a focus on testing, design iteration, and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct mechanical, stress, load, and acceleration testing
  • Perform design changes and updates using SolidWorks
  • Write clear, concise, and technically sound reports
  • Apply principles of Design of Experiments (DoE) to testing and validation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and solve engineering challenges

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Experience with mechanical testing methodologies
  • Ability to write detailed technical reports
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Aerospace or lighting experience is beneficial but not essential
