What You'll Do:As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Mechanical Department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting general servicing for both passenger and commercial vehicles.
  • Handling tyre changing duties for a variety of vehicles.
  • Performing air conditioning services as needed.
  • utilising a range of tools and diagnostic equipment to carry out vehicle diagnostics, methodical fault tracing, and electrical testing.
  • Executing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) as required.
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and road tests.
  • Carrying out repairs in line with approved methods to restore vehicles to their original condition.
  • Managing warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards.
  • Accurately documenting all work performed and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Preparing vehicles for final quality control, including stripping/refitting, panel repair, masking, priming, painting, and oven rectification.
  • Planning and organising your time effectively to meet set deadlines and achieve efficiency.
  • Assisting fellow technicians and contributing to the training of new team members.

What We're Looking For:To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, contributing fully to company initiatives and supporting its aims and ambitions.
  • A professional demeanour, with punctuality and courtesy at the forefront of your work ethic.
  • The ability to react calmly and effectively in unexpected situations and encourage beneficial changes.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
