Role Overview:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical and plumbing operations at HMP Highpoint. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring strong leadership, excellent time management, and the ability to coordinate a small team within a secure environment.

• Location: HMP Highpoint Prison, Suffolk
• Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)
• Start Date: Immediate
• Working Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00 & Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
• Hourly Rate: £26.97 (Premium Rate)

?? Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily mechanical and plumbing activities
• Lead and support a team of operatives on-site
• Prioritise workloads and delegate tasks effectively
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and prison protocols
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Liaise with prison facilities management and external contractors
• Utilise Microsoft Office to produce reports, schedules, and updates

�? Required Qualifications & Skills:

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing
• SSSTS Certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Demonstrable experience in mechanical supervision
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
