Mechanical Quality Inspector

Our client is looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified 'In-process’ Inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply through thorough checking off in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and 'hands on’ approach to dimensional inspection. This is an exciting opportunity with a lot of opportunities for growth and further training!

Roles and Responsibilities:

• In-Process inspection (During Manufacture)
• Use of Programmable and Manual CMM inspection
• Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
• Overseeing goods in/out inspection
• Raising and investigating NCRs with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
• Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
• Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production and inspection
• Liaising with customers and suppliers

Ideal Candidate Will:

• Ideally you will be an experienced CNC Machinist/programmer with an 'Inspection’ background.
• You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection.
• You will be fully familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
• You will be able to work well in a team environment and have the necessary 'people skills’ to develop and improve the quality culture of the business, having confidence and a discerning judgment on when to raise issues, improvements.
• You will have good communication skills both internally and to outside 'agencies’ by telephone/email etc
• Reporting to the Managing Director you will be supporting the production team striving for 100% quality.

Working Hours + Benefits:

• 37 hour weeks
• Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 Friday 08:00 - 13:00
• Opportunity for overtime, weekend, and shift work (paid at a premium)
• 28 Days Holiday (Inc Bank Holidays)
