Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Zenith People LTD : Job Details

Zenith People are working with our client who operate in High Volume manufacturing and are looking to recruit a time-served Mechanical Biased Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Site Engineering & Maintenance Manager / Mechanical Supervisor you will be working as part of a team, carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance, along with reacting to machinery breakdowns. You will be required to diagnose mechanical faults on a range of equipment associated with production and site services and carry out improvements and project work. Work is to be accurately planned, recorded and updated through a digital maintenance platform.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance supervisors via system
• Attend and repair breakdowns as required and report all actions carried out and any further actions required
• Report in a comprehensive manner all work activities carried out on a daily/shift basis via shift report and handovers.
• Be proactive in preventing equipment failures and improving overall equipment performance by generating and implementing ideas and modifications
• Provide a service that meets agreed service levels, including minimising downtime and communicating effectively with relevant personnel
• Cooperate with contractors and as far as possible, ensure their adherence to site rules, health and safety and standards

Shift Pattern is 4 on 4 off – (2 Days, 2 Nights then 4 off)
