Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Days) - Chemical Manufacturing - Cheshire - £44,000About the CompanyOur client is an established and leading independent manufacturer of speciality products for a wide variety of industrial applications. Part of a growing international group, the business is investing in its current production and engineering capabilities and is currently looking to appoint a number of Mechanical Technicians. The successful candidate will support the Engineering team helping develop the site maintenance and asset management system. Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Days) - Requirements

• City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent
• 1-2 years experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in a top-tier COMAH plant or speciality chemical manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
• DSEAR
• COMPEX
• Knowledge of UK Legislation (particularly CDM, HSWA)

Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Days) - Responsibilities

• Proactive scheduled maintenance to minimise the reactive maintenance, undertaking maintenance projects from initiation to completion, overseen by your supervisor.
• Escalate problems quickly to the Engineering Manager
• Work throughout project & asset lifecycle from front end, detailed design and system verification, validation and maintenance
• Requesting the correct documentation and data required for the site maintenance system and compliance to site standards
• You may be responsible for overseeing contractors on site
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
