Mechanical Fitter - React Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Our client an engineering company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter Assembler.

Job title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Rochester – with UK and international travel

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 pa depending on skill level overtime

Hours: 39 hours per week, 45 minute break

Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm

Friday 8am to 2pm

The Mechanical Fitter role is mainly workshop based working as part of a small team building new machinery.

Skills required:

• Mechanical assembly – excellent attention to detail
• Read technical drawings
• Manual milling/turning – able to manufacture simple jigs
• Electrical knowledge desirable, not essential

The role will involve assisting in assembling, servicing, dismantling, moving machinery in the UK and abroad (Europe, Philippines, Malaysia, India etc).

Usual travel is typically for no more than a week at a time approximately 5 times a year

Candidates must be free to travel to all countries without restrictions, UK car driver essential.
