Maintenance Fitter

Perm role, £18.35p/hr, Days, Mon-Fri, 45hr week, x3 Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Cycle to Work Scheme

Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced Fitter to work for their Manufacturing client, based near to Selby. Working under the Engineering Manager, you must be a proactive and hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Fitter assisting in all areas of the Manufacturing department.

Day to day tasks will include:

-Carry out routine, preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical aspects of the plant

-Respond to plant breakdowns as required.

-Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of the plant on site.

-Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.

-Ensure all Health and Safety procedures, including permit to work, are adhered to at all time.

-Assist in the preparation / implementation of RAMS, necessary to carry out each task.

-Report any Health and Safety issues/accidents/near misses to line manager.

- Attend training as required to maintain personal qualifications/competence.

Key skills and qualifications required for this role are:

-NVQ Level 3 or BTech National Certificate in Mechanical engineering.

-Knowledge of pumps, valves, fault finding & trouble shooting on industrial systems and understanding of technical drawings.

-Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus.

-Responsibility of safety for themselves and others.

-Work as part of a team or as an individual safely.

You will be required to work on the Day shift, working a 45hr week, Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm. Some flexibility in this may be required. The Pay Rate for the role is £18.35p/hr and the role is advertised as a Permanent position.
