This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our brand new £35m SRF to fuel processing facility. The plant is currently in its final stages of commissioning, and we are looking to build our maintenance team. The site is full of exiting challenges and the opportunity to learn and progress your career in the waste to energy sector. The business model is to build other sites in the UK over the coming years allowing progression opportunity to the right people.

As the shift Fitter you will carry out day to day duties of Preventative Maintenance tasks and attending brake downs. As the PM system is new your input in these documents will be vital to ensure we can build a strong PM system as a team. Working as part of a small team on your shift in a safe and professional manner you will be accompanied by a fitter’s mate to assist in day-to-day tasks. Training and new qualifications can be provided.

Salary; Highly competitive to Geographical location

Shifts; 4 on 4 off (alternating days and nights 7 - 7)

Location: The position is based in Middlesbrough on the River Tees which allows for global shipments.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship with at least 3 years post apprentice experience.
• NVQ Level 3
• HNC/ City & Guilds

Skills/Experience

• Waste industry is experience desirable.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Willingness to learn.
• The ability to think outside the box.
• Time management skills.
• The ability to work as a small team.
• The ability to take the lead.
• Working well under pressure.
• Heavy equipment
• Fast paced production environment
