Mechanical Engineer - Demob Job Ltd : Job Details

Our client has an immediate requirement for a Mechanical Engineer to be based at their site in Penrith, Cumbria. The successful Mechanical Engineer will work as part of a team and will be responsible for carrying out the planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns to the machinery on site, ensuring it remains operational whilst following health and safety guidelines.

The successful Mechanical Engineer will be joining a family-run business where you will work with a small team of friendly engineers. Working Monday to Friday on a rotational AM/PM shift pattern (no nights). Please note, you will also be part of the on-call Rota 1 week, every 4 weeks.

Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

• Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship program and hold a Mechanical qualification to level 3 as a minimum.
• Proven ability to work with drives, gears and motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Electrical fault finding and diagnostic experience advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering diagrams and schematics.
