My client are a leading engineering design consultancy supplying in to a heavy industries and are looking for a Mechanical design engineer, if you come from a Nuclear, Fusion , Power Gen and Oil and Gas industry and have extensive experience as a mechanical design engineer with heavy focus on CAD then look no further, as this is the job for you!Mechanical Design Engineer PermanentMonday-Thursday  8am-4.30pmFriday- 8am-1pmKey Roles & Responsibilities as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Develop conceptual and layout designs for mechanical and hydraulic assemblies based on process definitions
• Perform stress analysis and engineering calculations to validate design integrity
• Collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams across Mechanical, Structural, Hydraulic, and Materials disciplines
• Support full project lifecycle, including build, commissioning, testing, and trials of new systems
• Coordinate with electrical, control, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration and interface compatibility

Essential Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Highly regulated industries
• Stress analysis/ Calcs/ FEA
• Experienced with Hydraulics/ Pneumatics and moving mechanisms
• Experience with CAD
• Degree qualified
