We're recruiting for a growing UK cleantech business that's revolutionizing solar thermal technology and decarbonizing heating systems globally. Following a successful Series B funding round, they're expanding their engineering team.

?? The Role

Mid/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | £60,000 | Crawley HQ (40% office, flexible working)

You'll be designing renewable heating systems for commercial and industrial buildings, working with cutting-edge solar thermal technology alongside heat pumps, thermal storage, and other low-carbon solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Design safe, reliable renewable heating systems for C&I clients
  • Create P&ID designs, roof layouts, and component specifications
  • Perform demand/generation calculations and structural analysis
  • Work with cross-disciplinary teams including architects and construction partners
  • Support client presentations and technical proposals
  • Contribute to product development and system improvements

?? What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • 5-8 years M&E design engineering experience
  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • RIBA stage 3/4 design experience
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • HVAC/building services background
  • Knowledge of commercial/industrial heating and electrical standards
  • Client and stakeholder management experience

Desirable:

  • Solar/renewable energy experience
  • Heat pump and thermal storage knowledge
  • Energy modeling software skills
