What You'll Be Doing:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

  • Design new products from concept sketches or design briefs using Inventor 2022 and AutoCAD 2022 (Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2022).
  • Modify existing products to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Produce mechanical manufacturing and assembly drawings adhering to ISO and quality standards.
  • Research and specify suitable proprietary parts and produce a bill of materials (BOM). Experience with SAP is desirable.
  • Maintain standard product library and ensure compliance with HSE machinery safety standards.
  • Conduct Machinery Risk Assessments for new and existing equipment.
  • Support the production team during assembly and testing phases.
  • Manage change control processes for improvements.
  • Create machinery layouts for customer and quotation purposes.
  • Develop Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
We Need Someone With:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering Design.
  • Proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, and MS Office 365.
  • Experience in detailing machined components, welded fabrications, sheet metal, and laser cut parts.
  • Knowledge or experience in the design of special purpose machines, ideally with exposure to glass handling equipment and conveyor systems.
