Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer! Are you passionate about mechanical engineering and looking for a role where you can flex your design muscles? A friendly, expanding manufacturer who specialise in small, intricate projects is searching for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This role offers a chance to make your mark in a variety of industries, contributing to innovative projects on an international scale. The team consists of 4 engineers with varying levels of experience, and would benefit greatly from an experienced and “well-travelled” engineer to aid in the their growth and development, to introduce alternative solutions, and to demonstrate best-practices. What Will You Be Doing?

• Design mechanical, electromechanical, and thermomechanical systems using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
• Contribute to design reviews.
• Build and test prototype and first-off designs.
• Document and review drawings, manuals, instructions, and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated team to ensure all projects meet their deadlines, improve continuously, and align with relevant standards.

What Do You Need?

• Have an excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing/DFM.
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience.
• Able to use common hand tools for mechanical assembly and prototyping.
• A knack for juggling various tasks and delivering detailed manufacturing information punctually.
• CAD experience - SolidWorks preferred, other software (Inventor, Creo, Catia etc.) considered.
