Mechanical Design Engineer (Machinery Design/Automotive)

£40,000 - 45,000 + profit related bonus + pension

Swadlincote, Derbyshire

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer from a Special Purpose Machinery design background looking to join a rapidly growing engineering company with clients who are amongst the largest automotive OEMs within the UK?

Do you want to work on complex projects for BMW, Aston Martin and JLR and be the go to Engineer where you will design and develop assemblies, components, fixturing and material handling.

The company have been established since 2015 with ambitious, yet achievable, plans for growth over the next 3-5 years. You will have the chance to apply your technical skills to real life engineering systems and design products and machines for some of the world's leading automotive manufacturers such as Land Rover Jaguar, BMW and Aston Martin.

You will be a Mechanical Engineer with relevant technical experience in fixturing, material handling and machined components and complex assemblies used to working with CAD and FEA software to produce the companies designs rather than manual calculations.

The role:

• Initial project review and scope of requirements with the project delivery team.
• Creating fully functioning 3D CAD models of mechanical systems, special purpose machinery, assembly fixtures, production jigs, mechanical handling systems and industrial automated systems using the latest version of Autodesk Inventor Professional.
• Creating, checking, and approving 2D manufacturing to BS8888-2017.
• Running and participating in design reviews

• Mechanical Design Engineering background
