Hays are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Melksham to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Maths Specialist to join their dedicated team for the autumn term. If you're passionate about helping students build confidence in numeracy and enjoy delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, we'd love tohear from you!Your new role

• Deliver high-quality,differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and prepare schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum
• Mark and assess student work, providing clear and constructive feedback
• Use data to inform teaching and tailor support for individual learners
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment with strong behaviour management
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student progress and wellbeing
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status(QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across the KS3-KS4 Maths curriculum
• Confident classroom management and ability to engage mixed-ability groups
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Familiarity with Arbor Management System (preferred)
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and school life
• Reliable transport (as the school is not easily accessible via public transport)
