Maths Teacher

We are seeking a Maths Teacher to join a pupil referral unit at a college in Brent, starting from September. This role involves working with KS3 and KS4 students. The ideal candidate will be a strong teacher with experience in special educational needs (SEN). Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is ideal but not required.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students within a pupil referral unit.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with varying educational and behavioural challenges.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and SEN specialists to plan and coordinate lessons.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong teaching ability with a focus on maths.
- Experience working with SEN students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- QTS is ideal but not mandatory.
- Commitment to professional development and learning.
