Material Controller

Location: Leatherhead

Type: Full-time (8am- 5pm), On-site (parking available)

Opportunity to join a successful, innovative, and award-winning business on a temporary basis.  Initially a 3–6 month assignment, potential for permanent appointment. This role supports the efficient flow of materials for the production of cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Review production schedules and forecasts to identify material requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure supplier agreements are accurately reflected in the ERP system.
• Maintain proactive communication with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues.
• Monitor supplier performance KPIs and address discrepancies in delivery, quality, or pricing.
• Coordinate logistics to optimise transportation and delivery efficiency.
• Implement inventory strategies to minimise excess or obsolete stock.
• Track deliveries, manage missing parts, and ensure material availability for projects.
• Support process optimisation and cost reduction initiatives across teams.
• Maintain accurate material planning data and documentation.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain operations (preferably in manufacturing).
• Strong understanding of inventory and supply chain principles.
• Proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with ERP or supply chain software.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
