Material Controller
Location: Leatherhead
Type: Full-time (8am- 5pm), On-site (parking available)
Opportunity to join a successful, innovative, and award-winning business on a temporary basis. Initially a 3–6 month assignment, potential for permanent appointment. This role supports the efficient flow of materials for the production of cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Review production schedules and forecasts to identify material requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure supplier agreements are accurately reflected in the ERP system.
- Maintain proactive communication with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues.
- Monitor supplier performance KPIs and address discrepancies in delivery, quality, or pricing.
- Coordinate logistics to optimise transportation and delivery efficiency.
- Implement inventory strategies to minimise excess or obsolete stock.
- Track deliveries, manage missing parts, and ensure material availability for projects.
- Support process optimisation and cost reduction initiatives across teams.
- Maintain accurate material planning data and documentation.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain operations (preferably in manufacturing).
- Strong understanding of inventory and supply chain principles.
- Proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with ERP or supply chain software.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
