Social Media & Community Executive
  • Annual Salary: £28,000 to £31,000
  • Location: Birmingham, City Centre

Join a leading UK-based brand committed to providing high-quality alternatives. We are seeking a creative and skilled Social Media & Community Executive to manage and grow our online presence, focusing on community engagement rather than direct advertising.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Social Media Channel Management:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
    • Manage daily brand presence, ensuring a consistent and responsible voice.
    • Tailor content to each platform's unique audience, focusing on engagement and community growth.
    • Monitor online conversations and trends within the vaping community to identify engagement opportunities.
  • Content Planning and Creation:

    • Plan, create, and schedule a stream of high-quality content including graphics, short-form videos, and copy.
    • Develop a detailed content calendar that aligns with brand values, focusing on factual information and community-centric themes.
    • Ensure all content complies with the UK's CAP Code and ASA guidelines for e-cigarettes.
  • WhatsApp Community Management:

    • Lead and grow our private WhatsApp community, establishing it as a key channel for engagement.
    • Develop exclusive content and facilitate discussions to provide value-driven information.
    • Use feedback from the channel to build strong brand advocacy.
  • Customer Service & Engagement:

    • Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries across all social channels.
    • Provide timely, helpful, and professional support, resolving issues and answering questions effectively.
    • Engage proactively with comments and user-generated content to foster a positive community environment.
  • Reporting & Analytics:

    • Track and analyse key performance metrics for all channels.
    • Provide regular reports on social media performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media channel management and content creation.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing a WhatsApp community or similar platform.
  • At least 1 year in a customer-facing role, with strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for copywriting.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in the vape, e-cigarette, or another highly regulated industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK's CAP Code and ASA guidelines for nicotine-containing products.
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) and video editing software.
  • Experience using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
