Job Location : Lympstone, UK
If you have marketing experience and are looking to join our friendly team as our new Marketing Executive, to support and drive activities as the business continues to grow. It’s an exciting time to join us!
If you’re someone that’s proactive, is keen to learn about the veterinary industry/poultry medicine and you want to join an ambitious organisation that will fully support you and your development - we’d love to hear from you.
The marketing team is based at our head office, which is on the Nutwell Estate near Lympstone, on the outskirts of Exeter - about a 10-minute drive from the M5. You’ll be working closely with the Marketing Manager and Commercial Director, who will provide you with comprehensive training and ongoing support.
Whilst most of the teams’ focus is on supporting the commercial poultry side of the business, there are other associated/complementary businesses that the team work with. Therefore, you’ll get the opportunity to learn about and support a wide range of different businesses, with different audiences and marketing needs. This includes, for example, The Chicken Vet that provides online advice, guidance and products to poultry pet owners, and poultry health training to other vets.
What you’ll be doing
It’s a varied role that’s going to suit someone who thrives on contributing to and managing, a broad range of marketing projects. This will include:
Whilst the Marketing Executive will have responsibility for some core activities to support business priorities, there’s scope for you to evolve this role as your skills and understanding evolve too.
About you
You’ll be a self-starter with the drive to make things happen and deliver results, and you’ll be confident and happy to work with people from around the business, and marketing colleagues, to do this. We’re a team that encourages new ideas and ways of doing things for the better, therefore if you’re someone who can spot these opportunities and run with them, that would be fantastic.
Some general marketing experience is essential, and as developing content is a fundamental part of the role, experience of writing different types of content for different audiences, editing and proofreading is essential too. You don’t need to have previous experience in the veterinary or poultry industry, however you’ll need to be keen to learn and have the ability to research and gather information from a range of sources. As you’ll be juggling priorities and workload, you’ll also need to be highly organised.
Fundamentally, if you’re interested in finding out more about who we are, what we do and the marketing role, we’d like to find out more about you.
