REED Business Support in Bath is honoured to have been asked to recruit for a highly successful professional services business in central Bristol in their search for a Marketing & Events Co-ordinator.   

This is a maternity cover role starting early October for 14 months

£28,000

Monday to Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm)

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Marketing and Events Co-ordinator. This role involves supporting the Head of Marketing & Events in delivering professional services to their members and clients, focusing on event planning, marketing and administration. This position is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, possesses excellent communication skills, and is keen on maintaining high standards of professionalism in all tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Attend practice group meetings to identify topics for future seminars and events.
  • Update event schedules and coordinate with barristers and clerking teams.
  • Liaise with venues to secure appropriate locations and compile cost reports.
  • Work closely with the admin team to ensure successful event execution.
  • Organise venue setups and assist with post-event clearance.
  • Create and manage event programs and handle bookings using Eventbrite.
  • Design invitations and conduct email campaigns targeting specific markets.
  • Compile speaker notes and create delegate packs with QR codes.
  • Manage seminar pack printing and record feedback to generate evaluation reports.
  • Represent and promote the business at various events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marketing and event co-ordination, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Publisher and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with WordPress CMS and social media management (LinkedIn and X, formerly known as Twitter).
  • Knowledge of Mail Chimp and Canva software is desirable.
  • Ability to manage financial aspects of events, including budgeting and cost reporting.
